Shane Harrison was born in Dublin. He graduated from the National College of Art and Design in the early ‘80s and has worked in television, advertising and as a freelance designer. His first collection of short stories, Blues Before Dawn, was published by Poolbeg in 1992 and he has also contributed stories, articles and reviews to a range of newspapers and periodicals. He has a BA degree in English literature from Dublin City University and currently works as a librarian in County Wicklow.
