Dermot McCabe’s abiding interest in medieval history and art have manifest themselves in The Dredgemarsh gothic novels: The Reluctant King and The Lost Prince. The third book in this series is due for publication in the 4th quarter of 2017. He lives in Bray, Co. Wicklow in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East with it’s abundance of medieval castles and monastic settlements. He is a founding member and chair of Abraxas Writers, was a tutor in creative writing for the online college CMIT and editor of The Bray Arts Journal. Currently he volunteers with Fighting Words, founded by Roddy Doyle and Sean Love to provide free tutoring and mentoring in creative writing and related arts to children, young adults and adults with special needs.
